5 Catalogs You Should (Secretly) Shop for Fall

Couple things I've always believed that were borne out in this search...

1) Teen catalogs can be amazing.  Skinny cargos with motorcycle leg detail (Delia's)?  Yes please. You shop at Forever 21 right?  Why discriminate?

2) Ladies of a certain demographic/psychographic LOVE them some leather, which means you can get amazing leather deals from brands like Newport News.  Find the right shape and you're golden.  $129 for a distressed leather motorcycle jacket?  I mean ... I don't see a problem there, do you?

3) Everyone is upping their game.  For every Free People, there is a Roxy.  For every Anthropologie, there is a Boden.  Keep your eyes and your mind open and be aware that what you want to pay for is style - not brand name.  (Buying an $89 glorified long sleeve tee-shirt from Free People is a waste of your hard earned money - I'm guilty of it, but I'm going to try to spend more time looking around now.)

I've found best to keep an open mind with all the stores now that I bargain shop! great finds here. My only prob is that Delias and Alloy both have amazingly high-priced shipping. If you want to buy just one piece it's not worth it.

Oh, I want to adore Boden -- I like their shapes, and I love how they're keeping up with bright colors despite this fall's deep dense neutral layers. But sometimes, the prints and detailing they put on their prettily-shaped dresses, tops, and skirts are just...so not me! Well, I still enjoy flipping through the catalogues and wishing I were the type of merry person who could get away with huge polka dots, big buttons, or fried-egg florals the size of a spread hand. I do lurk the prices on their solid-colored items, I'll admit. Problem is, my size is often sold out before a decent sale.

I'm a bit skeptical of this post as I find most "teen" centric clothing items are not typically made out of high quality fabrics and thus lack durability. I don't want to spend $100 on anything, let alone a clothing item that's going to look weathered before its time.
