The Best Affordable (and Amazing) Etsy Jewelry Shops
I have an addiction. I think my mailman is on to it. He's seen the signs: tiny hand-addressed envelopes with a small bump in one corner ... little bubbly packs crunching with tissue ... boxes so small there could only be ONE THING INSIDE.
Jewelry. From Etsy. Under $100 a pop.
Ahhhh! I can't get enough - but the cost-to-compliments ratio is very high, so I'd call it a low risk addiction. This makes me feel better about being a total enabler. It's hard to find great stuff on etsy - there are over 2 million results for handmade jewelry - so I thought I'd share some of those I consider the best affordable jewelry sellers on etsy.
Counseling another day... Now let's shop, shall we?
1. Verabel + Fox specialize in stunning lockets and pendants. This Kaleidoscope locket is $65.00 here.
2. SeeGreen - It's hard to find great earrings anywhere in my opinion, but this jeweler does fresh, modern dangling pieces that I love. These Triple Chevron earrings are $42.00 here.
3. Moon Raven Designs make some creepy stuff - in the best way. Pendants and rings feasturing beasts and claws are so Pamela Love - but so much cheaper! This bronze bear claw pendant is $50.00 here.
4. Glamourpuss Couture - If you like Tom Binns you'll love ... well, just check it out. You might unearth a gem - or a pile of them, artfully arranged - amongst some of the kitschy craziness. This rhinestone necklace is $79.99 here.
5. Necklush. Oft mentioned, never replicated. I love these soft yet structural statement necklaces - and bonus, they're a little scarf-like for Spring nights. I really appreciate the unisex aspect - definitely bookmark this for gifts for your friends of the stylin' persuasion. This nautical-inspired piece is $42.00 here.
6. Jemmifer. I recently bought one of these chevron necklaces made from African trade beads ($28.00 each here) and it's become my wear-24-7 piece. The little beads are great for worrying/doing your rosary/noodling with while flirting.
7. Pinquim. Vintage jewelry on etsy is usually better found by invididual item, but this seller has a great eye for bold vintage pieces that feel very modern. This Victorian revival buckle bracelet is $56.00 here. (They also sell luggage, typewriters and cameras - it's like searching through an estate sale of a very chic person who goes places and ... reports about them).
8. Petra Collection, why must you taunt me with all of my dream jewelry in one place? Ok, do. Because it's totally affordable. These antique style jade and pearl earrings are $34.45 here. If you love evil eyes and such, they have a great selection of charm pieces too.
9. Rackk & Ruin. You've heard the name, now buy the chains. Some of the best reworked vintage and one-of-a-kind pieces on etsy. This Bazaar charm necklace is $62.00 here.
10. Royal Curiousity also do stunning reworked jewelery - tons of outfit-making statement pieces. This Copper Blades necklace is $65.00 here.
11. Unearthed makes some of the finest cuffs I've ever seen - streamlined, gorgeous and wrapped in exotic skins. Ignore the featured pieces - a little much for my taste - and go straight to the simple stuff. This pink snakeskin cuff is $50.00 here ... but be sure to check out the stingray pieces. NEED.
12. Tree & Kimball - I had actually posted a different lace jewelry maker here and have decided to update this. I searched my mind/the interwebs for the source of my love for this lace jewelery, and realized I originally discovered Tree & Kimball through this giveaway on Calivintage. Neglecting to bookmark the store, I went back to find lace necklaces when I did this post and came upon a different seller. I want to do right by Tree & Kimball - who originally made me fall in love with this style. The Scout necklace is $30.00 here. Although I'm disappointed that someone left a blanket negative statement about this post, I'm glad that this specific seller was pointed out in the comment, otherwise I probably would not have realized that I unintentionally referenced a different maker. I have left a link to the other lace jewelry maker - who definitely has pretty pieces, hence my selection in the original post - in the comments section. It's not for me to decide if they are "knock offs," "inspired by" or what, but I welcome your thoughts.
13. Snefter makes those badass body pieces you've seen elsewhere for twice the price. This Silver Chandelier shoulder piece is $49.99 here, just in time for tank top season. She also makes amazing hand jewelry - you know, connecting from your wrist to your finger? I see that as a huge upcoming trend so perhaps get on it now ... ; )
14. Luluka. Let me put this simply. You know your secret celeb girl crush? And the perfect little necklaces and such she's always wearing in InStyle? You know how you want to buy them and totally pretend someone got them for you as a gift - except you look, and the prices are ridiculous? Well, here those pieces are, and they're not ridiculous at all. This sideways cross necklace is $34.00 here. Pile it on, Mischa!
15. Babette makes delicate yet egdy jewelry that's kind of breathtaking in its simplicity. You can cross that quartz necklace off your list for just $35.00 here.
16. Pradman make beautiful semi-precious stone and gold plated pieces that look like a million bucks, but are actually a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of ... Ok you get it. This green amythyst ring is $39.99 here. Perfect gift for Mother's Day - you can always borrow it from her, that's what moms are for!

Any fabulous jewelers I missed on Etsy? Any pieces you're looking for - I may have found them in my research and can let you know where : )

You essential chose a bunch of stores that are knock offs of other Etsy stores. This was a huge disappointment! Stitch from the Heart is a horrible copy cat of Tree an Kimball. #2 is a wannabe Laura Lombardi.
Great Picks! I am gonna bookmark this post for quick reference in the future. Thanks!!!
Kara, thanks for pointing out those two examples. I'm not sure I agree about the second one and your overall comment - this is not essentially a list of knockoffs by any stretch.
I'll give some thought as to how to address the first one because you are right, there is another brand on etsy making those lace necklaces. It's a tough call now that this has been published and I do like the work of the one I showed - otherwise I wouldn't have posted it.
What do you guys think is the right thing to do?
PS - originally didn't find the email address on this comment but it was left, thanks Kara.
Ok, so I mulled this over and did a little soul/brain/internet searching. The original lace jeweler that I discovered through Calivintage and loved was Tree and Kimball. I didn't bookmark or remember the brand name and so ended up featuring a different black lace necklace and maker ... although I don't love the blanket negative statement in the comment above, I appreciate that this person took the time to write because I've now given credit to the jeweler (and blog) that originally turned me on to this beautiful style.
The seller I originally cited was Stitch from The Heart -this piece in particular
I think this seller also has some beautiful pieces, many which differ from those made by the seller in the post above. I leave it to you to decide, but I'm glad I could point out the one I originally swooned over.
I'm glad to have discovered Laura Lombardi (here) through that comment as well, though I don't believe the earrings I love from See Green have anything to do with Laura's work.
Great round up! Inspried by v. rip off is always a tough call. Thanks for addressing the issue and sharing both of the designers!
Look at it this way: you are supporting a lot of independent retailers, designers and jewellers, artisans, that need our support and our business more than ever. There are some gorgeous pieces here. I particularly love the green stone earrings and the pink cuff. Thanks for sharing, makes for a great post ;)
This is a fabulous collection you put together! Your comment about the mailman made me LOL!
Ann, I am really very flattered that you not only like the Chevron necklace you bought from me but that you've also featured it in this fine roundup of jewelry from Etsy sellers! Thanks for the mention!
